Born in 1974, I grew up in Leeds. Since then I’ve lived and worked in many different countries as a holiday rep, barman, chef, writer, caretaker, bicycle courier, English teacher, labourer, Christmas tree seller, postman, conservationist, waiter, driver, canoe instructor, bookseller, and field researcher.
Since 2011 I've written a blog on working, writing and living in France.  In 2018 I started writing a novel about my experiences of living in deathly French villages. Le Glitch was published in 2019 and you can buy it here. I still live in France.
